How often do I need to clean my gutters?
Your gutters build up a lot of debris each year with the fall season and winter snowfall in Alberta. We recommend cleaning your gutters once per year if you live in an area with a lot of trees and vegetation. If you live in a more remote area, once every two years is sufficient. If you notice poor waterflow from one downspout during a rainstorm, that may be a sign a gutter cleaning is needed.
How do I know when my rain gutters need to be cleaned?
When you notice your eavestrough overflowing or a downspout not flowing properly, that is a good indicator that they may need to be cleaned. We do offer a yearly inspection service also for customers who have used our service before. Ask about scheduling an inspection and current rates.
Can I clean my gutters myself?
In Alberta, most homes have very steep sloped roofs. For that reason, it can be very dangerous to climb onto your roof with a ladder to clean your gutter. Additionally, some homes have multiple levels that need to be climbed in order to reach the eavestrough. We offer homeowners peace of mind and security when performing the cleaning as we are able to use our SkyVac System which allows us to avoid climbing on the roof. We are also insured should something happen. For that reason, we suggest using a professional.
How long does a gutter cleaning take?
This largely depends on the size of your home and how clogged the gutters are. On average, we say 30-60 minutes for the average single family home.
How can I avoid cleaning my gutters as often?
You can invest in a gutter guard and have our team install them. This helps keep debris like leaves, rodents, sticks, and dirt from building up and restricting water flow.
